With the recent release of the less-than-stellar Resident Evil: Afterlife, it seems like the perfect time to count down some of our favorite video game adaptations. If any directors are reading, this is proof that you can capture all the action of a successful franchise while still making an entertaining story.5. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010): Director Mike Newell had success with the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire adaptation. In Prince of Persia, he distills the essence of an action video gameamazing stunts, humorous dialogue, and attractive charactersand unleashes it with glorious visuals.4. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001): This film’s main success was placing Angelina Jolie in the role she was born to play: the sultry globe-hopping thrill-seeker Lara Croft.
